Did you know that Washington State’s construction industry employs more than 22,000 people in the private sector alone? That equates to a total annual payroll of about $12 billion.
If you’re currently out of work and looking for a new opportunity, consider becoming a member of this rapidly expanding workforce. You’ll be surprised at how many opportunities are available, even if you’re new to the industry or don’t have a lot of experience.
To assist job seekers and business-owners, we’ve developed BuildWashington.com. The website makes it easy for job seekers and employers to connect, get hired and work together. To start searching, click here.
Job seekers: When you arrive on the page, you can filter jobs by using the “search” feature on the left. When you find a position that you’re interested in, click the provided link. A full job description will open up, explaining the requirements needed for that particular position. If you’re interested in applying, click the “apply” button. That will open up an online application that you can quickly fill out and submit. Once you submit your application, it’s sent directly to the hiring company. Within a few days to a week, you’ll hear back from someone within the organization.
Employers: If you have an open position that you’d like to post, click here. Then click the red “employer registration” button at the top of the page. Once you’re signed up, you can post as many job openings as you’d like, free of charge.
If you don’t see anything that interests you, submit your email address at the bottom of the page. We regularly send out notifications of new career opportunities.
