To get the most out of your AGC of Washington membership, stay informed and connect with us regularly.
And to help you access all of the benefits of AGCW membership, we’ve created this list of suggestions.
1.) Attend meetings and events. One of the best ways to stay informed of industry-related news and legislation is to attend our weekly online meetings and events. All are currently being held virtually, but we hope that we’ll soon be able to return to in-person events. To access a complete list of upcoming events, visit the AGCW Events page. Find one or two that are relevant to your interests and pencil it in on your calendar.
2.) Visit our website regularly for updates; follow us on social media and read your newsletters! Our finger is on the pulse of the local construction industry. To ensure all of our members are aware of pressing, relevant topics, we regularly update the “News Headlines” section of our website. You’ll also see all of our latest newsletters linked on our home page. Some of the most important issues facing our industry include unemployment-insurance taxes, construction-related items in the latest COVID-19 relief package, transportation issues and proposals to boost affordable housing. 3.) Follow legislative changes. Local lawmakers began the 2021 legislative session on Jan. 11. The decisions that these elected representatives make directly affect the health of our industry, our communities — and your business! With budget shortfalls adding up, there’s a lot to consider. To ensure that each member’s voice is heard, we’ve established a robust lobbying arm. Our representatives fight hard for our members.
