In Washington State, STIP plays a critical role. Over the years, it’s funded a variety of upgrades to highways, streets, roads, railroads, transit-hubs, bridges, sidewalks, bike lanes, and more.
The current STIP draft doesn’t include all county projects. That’s because state law requires counties to complete their transportation improvement programs by the end of each year. After every county submits its proposal, WSDOT will amend (and publish) a final version.
