Construction spending in the U.S. hit a record high with an adjusted annual rate of more than $1.3 trillion for the first nine months of 2018. AGC chief economist Ken Simonson said construction spending has increased “among nearly every project type and geographic area this year” and looks ready to continue growing into 2019.
