“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” — Benjamin Franklin
At AGC of Washington, we strongly believe that education is the key to providing a better, safer, and more effective construction workforce and industry. The AGC Education Foundation is the premier education resource for the construction industry in Washington state.
Our programs not only benefit current industry professionals but also are helping to train and educate future generations of contractors. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out our offerings, we would highly recommend doing so. Here’s a brief overview of some of our offerings:
Classes. Expanding your professional knowledge is not only great for your career but it’s great for your company and industry as a whole. It increases the services you’ll be able to offer future clients and also helps ensure you’re familiar with modern industry trends and techniques. Our continuing education (CE) classes cover a wide variety of topics including computer courses, construction leadership, project management, assertiveness training, CESCL: Stormwater BMPs for Construction and Basic Rigging, Qualified Signal Person Certification and more.
Classes are offered through AGC of Washington district offices in Seattle, Fife, Bellingham, and Yakima. Courses are taught by qualified construction professionals contracted by the AGC Education Foundation. AGC member-company employees receive discounted prices for all of our classes. Scholarships. Our Scholarship Program is committed to supporting the education of men and women interested in careers in the construction industry. Scholarships make it possible for students of all economic backgrounds to access higher education. The generosity of individual donors and businesses has given us the ability to offer scholarships ranging in monetary value from $1,000 all the way up to $10,000. Not only that, but they apply to four-year institutions, community colleges, and even trade schools. For more information go here.
