Throughout the year, AGC of Washington provides young professionals in the construction industry with educational and networking opportunities. As June 2015 approaches, here are several great events to consider attending.
June 3: Prevailing Wage Update. Join us from 10 a.m. to noon at AGC’s Seattle building, 1200 Westlake Ave. N., in our second-floor Conference Center. AGC of Washington is hosting this prevailing wage update featuring L&I’s Prevailing Wage program manager Jim Christensen, who will present a brief high-level strategic vision of what’s happening today and in the future with prevailing wage issues. The construction industry is posing hard questions, and Jim is listening! Please register and submit specific questions or topics you would like Jim to address by emailing Andrew Ledbetter at aledbetter@agcwa.com.
June 4: Seattle District Safety Forum. Be a part of this important discussion from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at AGC’s Seattle building.
June 12: Central District 2015 U.S. (U.nder the S.un) OPEN. The 18th Annual AGC Central District Golf Tournament (also known as the U.nder the S.un Open) runs from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Apple Tree Resort in Yakima. Registration begins at noon with hotdogs on the grill followed by a sun- and fun-filled round of golf. Top the day off with a ribs-and-chicken dinner with drinks and awards upstairs. It’s a four-person best-ball scramble register as a team or individual. Cost is $105 per player and includes range balls, hot dog lunch, green fees, cart, beverages and awards dinner!
